SoundStake is a purpose-built ground anchor designed to make the installation of stake-mounted landscape speakers fast, easy, and stable.

To install SoundStake, attach a 1-inch, impact-rated, deep socket to your cordless or corded impact driver. 18V, 20V, or similar is recommended. Use impact driver to install SoundStake in the ground. ImpactStake grips the soil with a screw-like blade. SoundStake is threaded 1/2" x 14 NPS to fit many landscape speakers. SoundStake is strong, so your fixtures stay upright and secure.

SoundStake is engineered to install in seconds with an impact driver, delivering a secure, repeatable anchor that won’t lean, sag, or topple over. Unlike traditional stakes, SoundStake can be removed, reused, and relocated with ease. With enough torque or reuse, SoundStake can be broken. However, in field testing, it maintained full mechanical integrity through 50+ installation cycles before failure.

SoundStake is sold in packs of 4. Each SoundStake is individually boxed. Each individual box contains 1 SoundStake and 1 Flag Cap.

The Flag Cap comes inserted in the threaded hex head of SoundStake. It protects the threads during shipment and installation. It also accepts a standard landscape flag so you can use SoundStake to mark speaker locations for trenching and landscape layout.

The Extension Rod makes installing speaker even easier by allowing you to avoid the speaker-to-SoundStake threaded connection. The Extension Rod thread attaches to your speaker at one end, and set-screw-attaches to the SoundStake at the other end. The Extension Rod is offered in different lengths so you can mount the speakers at your preferred height.

Many makes and models of impact driver will work well. Testing was conducted using 12V and 18V versions of Milwaukee and Dewalt impact wrenches along with a variety of batteries. 18V is recommended for rocky or dense soil. A high-current battery is also recommended.

SoundStake is built to handle standard speaker weights for 4”, 6”, and 8” landscape speakers in most soil conditions. SoundStake was field tested with the largest available landscape bullet-style speakers, including the Ambisonic LSR80.
